Our Salon History

In 1983 Robert and Mary Hayes opened Burton Hills Salon at our present location. Winning in the state competition Robert was named North Carolina Barber Stylist of the Year. Going on to represent the state on the USA olympic team winning two gold and one silver medals in the hair design category.

in 1986 Jeffrey Church began working as a hair designer at Burton Hills Salon. Training under Robert and Mary as well as additional training at the Toni and Guy Hair Academy in London, England. In 2002 Jeffrey left Burton Hills Salon to open his own salon Church and Company Hair Design Studio. Photographing his own hair designs his work has been published in many national and international hair and beauty magazines in twenty eight different countries.

in 2018 Jeffrey along with his brother David purchased Burton Hills Salon from Robert and Mary upon their retirement. Spaciously renovated and renaming the salon “Church and Co Salon at Burton Hills”. Their mission is to provide the highest quality hair and beauty services to their salon clientele. Currently the Church and Co.staff are working on a hair collection for next year. Always determined to stay connected to the latest trends in hair design. As well as creating new ones! Each hair designer is encouraged to continue advanced education to sharpen their skills and to remain current and relevant in their craft. The staff is experienced and driven to always know more. They know if they are going to toot their own horn that they must have a good horn to do so! All people are welcome at our salon and appreciated!
